Plain English and Product Warning Labels
Geoffery Pullum at Language Lob has some harsh (but entertaining) words for product warning labels.  He does not mention it, but lawyers play a significant role in drafting that language.  Maybe warning labels should be the next focus area for the Plain English movement.
